Washington asalta el Norte y recupera el factor cancha (93-86)

Primer combate en el Norte y primera victoria de los Washington Wizards liderado, como si de un Dejá Vú se tratara, por Paul Pierce que acabó con 20 puntos y 4/7 en triples incluyendo el primero de la prórroga. Un año después de liderar la victoria de los Nets sobre los Raptors en Canadá, The Truth completó su mejor partido como wizar en el momento clave: cuando Wall y Beal flaquearon. Las dos estrellas de los Wizards se combinaron para 11 de 41 en tiros de campo. A pesar del buen inicio de los Raptors, los Wizards le dieron la vuelta al marcador gracias a un 9-0 de parcial antes del descanso. Los de DC vivieron de esa buena racha y consiguieron marcharse por más de diez puntos incluyendo los últimos siete minutos del último cuarto cuando los Raptors caían por trece puntos. Con Kyle Lowry expulsado a falta de 2' con siete puntos anotados y seis faltas cometidas, los canadienses consiguieron empatar el choque a 82 a falta de 24" con un gran triple de Greivis Vasquez. La prórroga fue un despropósito general por parte de ambos equipos. A pesar de anotar el segundo tiro intentado, los Wizards tuvieron malos porcentajes y los Raptors tardaron más de cuatro minutos en anotar y lo hicieron, con un mate de DeRozan, cuando ya caían por siete puntos. Con esta victoria, Washington pone el 1-0 y se queda el factor cancha al primer intento.
