Jerome Miron | Dirk Nowitzki sustituirá a Anthony Davis el próximo domingo en el All-Star, tras la inoportuna lesión del jugador de Anthony Davis. El jugador de los Pelicans había sido elegido por los aficionados para ser el pívot titular en el Oeste junto a Marc Gasol.
Davis se lesionó en el hombro en el partido contra los Bulls en la madrugada del sábado, y se ha perdido los tres últimos encuentros que han disputado los Pelicans desde entonces. Con subaja, junto a la de Blake Griffin y Kobe Bryant son tres los titulares que no van a poder jugar el partido de las estrellas.
En el caso de Davis, será Dirk Nowitzki quien juegue el domingo, en el que será su decimotercer All-Star. El alemán ha anotado 18.3 puntos, recogido 6 rebotes y dado 2 asistencias por partido, erigiéndose uno de los líderes de los Mavericks.
El entrenador que se ha ganado el derecho de dirigir a la Conferencia Oeste en el All-Star, Steve Kerr, ha confirmado que James Hardem y Klay Thompson serán titulares tras las lesiones de Griffin y Bryant, aún falta por saber quién será el último jugador que cierre el quinteto titular.
